At 517 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Saint Augustine to 6 nm southwest of Palm Coast,
moving northeast at 35 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Dorothy Louise Barge, Nine Mile Reef, Saint Augustine, Saint
Augustine Beach, Crescent Beach, Beverly Beach, Butler Beach, Vilano
Beach, Big Georges Reef, Marineland, and Palm Coast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes. If your vessel is
caught offshore, immediately secure for heavy weather. Ensure all
crew members are wearing USCG approved Type I life jackets and
nonessential crew are below decks. Deploy jack lines and harnesses if
available. Check life saving equipment, including batteries on
handheld radios, for readiness.

JOHNS COUNTIES THROUGH 545 PM EDT...

At 514 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles southwest of Crescent Beach to near
Pierson. Movement was northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph and excessive cloud-to-ground
lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Excessive cloud-to-ground lightning is
occurring.

Locations impacted include...
Palm Coast, Flagler Beach, Bunnell, Marineland, Crescent Beach,
Beverly Beach, and Espanola.

At 448 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from 16 nm west of Butler Beach to 19
nm southwest of Palm Coast, moving northeast at 35 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 110 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast and northern Florida and southeast
Georgia.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.
